Asian markets decline as investors remain cautious

A decline in the price of crude oil sent energy stocks lower, contributing to losses in most Asian markets today. Tokyo's Nikkei 225 Average slid 1.3%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 lost 0.9% and New Zealand's NZX 50 gave up 1%. South Korea's Kospi slid 0.4%, Singapore's Straits Times Index fell 1.7%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index dropped 0.7% and Taiwan's Taiex declined 0.9%. China's Shanghai Composite climbed 0.8%, Indonesia's JSX Composite lost 0.7% and Malaysia's KLSE composite index shed 0.5%.
