HHS sends $9M to states for ASC survey on infections

The HHS has released up to $9 million in funding for a survey of 1,300 ambulatory surgical centers nationwide on the issue of preventing health care-acquired infections. State surveyors will use a survey process developed by the CMS and an infection control tool developed in conjunction with the CDC.
