Measure would provide tax relief for more Madoff victims

Investors who invested with Bernard Madoff received tax relief last year, but the rules did not help those who invested in the Ponzi scheme through so-called feeder funds. Lawmakers are considering a bill that would offer tax help to those investors. The Internal Revenue Service sent refund checks, some for as much as almost half a million dollars, to some Madoff victims this year.
