T-Mobile takes up 3G challenge, vows more, faster network

T-Mobile USA said it had taken aggressive moves to improve and expand its 3G network nationwide to compete with rivals AT&T and Verizon Wireless, adding that it will pass 200 million people and upgrade its entire network to downstream speeds of 7.2 megabits per second by year-end. Further, T-Mobile said it would enhance the network to HSPA+ to provide speeds up to 21 Mbps.
