Tweeting from the operating room

Doctors and nurses are trying to reduce the anxiety in waiting rooms by tweeting family members updates as they operate on patients. Twitter, YouTube and Facebook are becoming popular ways for surgeons to demystify procedures. Doctors note that the tweets are not a two-way conversation -- since they need to concentrate at the task at hand -- and that bad news is still delivered in person.
