Bonn emerges as a German cultural center

Bonn, which became the capital of West Germany after World War II, is known for its laid-back lifestyle and idyllic setting. The capital moved to Berlin after the reunification of Germany in 1990, but Bonn has emerged stronger than ever. It has first-class museums, luxury hotels and fanciful postmodernist architecture.
