Investors see an upside in allowing BAB program to expire

The Build America Bonds program is set to expire at the end of the year unless Congress extends it, a prospect that appears less likely after the election. The situation has state and local governments rushing to issue BABs, as demand for the taxable bonds remains high. Many investors, however, said the program's expiration might benefit existing BABs because all buyers of taxable bonds will be battling over a finite pool of debt.
