Minerals plant faces fines for dozens of safety violations

Indiana company U.S. Minerals has been written up for 30 violations and faces fines totaling $110,400, federal safety officials announced. The company's workers were found by investigators to not use safety goggles or seat belts, while noise levels were dangerously high and plant machinery was in an unsafe condition.
