Fla. teacher gains following for instructional videos

Rob Tarrou, a high-school math teacher in Florida, has created instructional YouTube videos -- with titles such as "z-score Calculations & Percentiles in a Normal Distribution" -- that have drawn about half a million views from more than 100 countries. In addition, students in Tarrou's in-person classes are using his YouTube videos to reinforce classroom learning -- part of a trend toward flipped classroom instruction.
