NTSB is probing engine issue that grounded a flight after takeoff

The National Transportation Safety Board is looking into the engine trouble that caused a Boeing MD-88 to experience engine failure and land shortly after takeoff from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Tuesday. A preliminary report says that a portion of the lower engine cowl was missing and also noted a hole in the fan duct.
