Veterans Elementary students learn what it means to be a veteran

Veterans Day is an especially meaningful day for students at Veterans Elementary School in Ellicott City, Md. Students this year participated in an essay contest, and gathered for an assembly designed to help them better understand what it means to be a veteran. "We have come together here, every year since our school opened, to recognize the service of our veterans who fought valiantly for our country, over the course of many years," said Robert Bruce, the principal.
