Atlanta Braves to leave Atlanta, build $672M stadium in Cobb County

The Atlanta Braves Major League Baseball team has announced plans to move from Atlanta and build a stadium with up to 42,000 seats in Georgia's Cobb County, which will become its new home in time for the 2017 season. "The new stadium, we believe, will be one of the most magnificent ever built," said team president John Schuerholz. The stadium will be part of a 60-acre mixed-use development.
