AllergyEats is a free online guide to more than 600,000 allergy-friendly restaurants in the U.S., registered dietitian Joan Salge Blake writes. Dining out is a challenge for people with food allergies, Blake writes, because while the FDA requires food labels on groceries to identify sources of common allergies, restaurant menus may offer only a brief description of the dish but not disclose all ingredients.
