Millennials gear up for Black Friday, Thanksgiving Day shopping

More than half of millennials plan to shop on Thanksgiving Day, and 80% of 18-to-24-year-olds and 70% of 25-to-34-year-olds will hit the stores on Black Friday, while only about 51% of consumers ages 45 to 59 will shop the day after Thanksgiving, according to a new Accenture survey. The survey also found that 58% of those between the ages of 18 and 24 will do most of their gift shopping in stores while their elders plan to do more of their buying online.
