N.C. district turns around its technology plans

The Rowan-Salisbury school district in North Carolina once lagged behind in its use of technology, with devices sitting unused in classrooms, sometimes still in their boxes. The district -- recently recognized by the International Society for Technology in Education and T.H.E. Journal for its use of technology -- has turned that around. Rowan-Salisbury works with teachers, administrators and other stakeholders to develop technology plans and ensure investments are made and supports are given.
