Obama nominates Treasury's Massad to head CFTC

President Barack Obama has nominated Timothy Massad, a senior official at the Treasury Department, to be the next chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Massad has been in charge of the Troubled Asset Relief Program for the past few years. If the Senate confirms Massad, he will succeed Gary Gensler. Obama used the opportunity to call on Congress to fully fund the CFTC.
