Pa. kindergarten students take tech classes to prepare for online tests

Officials in Pennsylvania are introducing computer instruction as early as kindergarten to help prepare students for online standardized tests. Keyboarding and computer skills are needed in younger grades but the learning curve is different than for older students, educators say. "How do you teach letter keys when the youngest kids are still learning their letters?" said teacher Andrew Lynch. "I can tell them to press 'A,' but they may not know what that is yet."
