Roku plans a $12 million digital blitz for the holidays

Roku will tout its digital media player as the perfect present in a $12 million holiday campaign from Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners. The campaign is largely digital, with ads on streaming media channels featuring a Ukrainian character telling consumers to buy themselves a Roku and say it's from him. Roku's content offerings are being highlighted this year because "I felt that we should be focused much deeper in the funnel," said Roku Chief Marketing Officer Matthew Anderson.
