Study: Few adverse events associated with Mohs surgery

Mohs micrographic surgery has a low adverse-event rate, with patients who are taking anticoagulants the most likely to have bleeding and wound-healing difficulties, according to a study in JAMA Dermatology. The most common adverse events reported in the multicenter study were infections, dehiscence, necrosis, bleeding and hematoma. The adverse event rate was 0.72%, including a serious-adverse-event rate of 0.02%.
