Audit Finds San Francisco Schools Misspent Millions

An independent audit has found that the San Francisco Unified School District might have misspent as much as $100 million in bond and tax money, leaving the district woefully unprepared to bring schools in line with health and building codes. Board of Education members, who have oversight of the district's finances, claim to have known of the misuse of funds but say they were powerless to do anything about it.
