Study: All-day kindergarten may close achievement gap

Black, Hispanic and American Indian students who attend all-day kindergarten develop literacy skills at a more rapid pace than their counterparts in half-day classes. Minneapolis schools have supported all-day kindergarten programs, and about 60% of kindergartners in the region take part in the program.
