Budget troubles lead to huge layoffs for Baltimore schools

Baltimore schools announced a plan to lay off up to 1,000 employees as part of an effort to deal with a $52 million budget deficit. State schools chief Nancy Grasmick said the cuts were "unprecedented" and would result in a "huge downsizing of administration."
