Seattle student-run radio draws 40,000 Internet listeners monthly

KNHC-FM (89.5), a student-run radio station at Seattle's Nathan Hale High School, has been named best high-school radio station in New York by the Village Voice. The 50 students who run "C-89" write news releases, conduct pledge drives to support the station's $350,000 annual budget and spend hours listening to dance and top 40 CDs to determine programming.
