Democrats believed open to regulating generic biotech drugs

The new Democrat-controlled Congress may be friendlier to the idea of creating legislation allowing generic versions of biotech drugs. The list of biotech products with expired patents is expected to grow over the next several years, and biotech companies say their medicines are too complicated to replicate safely and effectively.
