Infected Seagate drives ship to consumers

A number of Seagate's Maxtor Basics hard drives shipped with a virus that "searches for passwords for online games and sends them to a server located in China," according to the company. Seagate is offering a 60-day free trial of anti-virus software that will locate and remove the virus, and said it is still looking into the cause of the initial infection.
