More children suffering from Type 2 diabetes

Type 2 diabetes is becoming more common in children and teens, and some experts think high-fat, high-calorie diets coupled with less activity are contributing to the trend. Treating Type 2 in children is difficult, because only one drug and insulin are approved for use in these patients. Schools have started to train nurses and teachers to administer insulin and help students monitor their blood sugar levels.
