Board approves review of operations at Virgin Islands hospital

Board members of the Schneider Regional Medical Center in the Virgin Islands have agreed to hire a consulting firm that will conduct an independent and comprehensive evaluation of the hospital's operations. The hospital also plans to resume its nuclear medicine services in January after they had been suspended for about a year while malfunctioning and outdated equipment was replaced, according to interim CEO Elizabeth Harris.
