Marketers to Facebook: We want your data

Facebook experienced a user revolt when it launched its Beacon advertising program because it publicly tracked user purchasing decisions in networked news feeds. But if Facebook were to release its anonymous user data, it's possible marketers would pay billions for it, the way they now pay for purchasing history data from Experian and Equifax.
