Survey: EHR adoption slow to catch on in U.S. hospitals

More than three-quarters of U.S. hospitals have some electronic systems in place, but only between 2% and 12% of hospitals use a comprehensive electronic health record system, according to a survey of more than 3,000 nonfederal U.S. hospitals, the results of which were delivered to the American Health Information Community in its final meeting.
