Economists predict Fed will boost rates around September

In the most recent Wall Street Journal poll, economists say they expect the Federal Reserve to increase benchmark interest rates in September of next year. The economists also said they expected unemployment to increase slightly by the end of 2009 and a return of job growth over the next year. The 52 respondents said they expected gross domestic product to grow roughly 3% next year.
