Aging population will mean a shift toward consumption, expert says

As the world's population ages, countries will be forced to spend a greater percentage of their GDP on health care and other services favored by the elderly, and companies will see a shift away from investing and toward consumption, says Richard Jackson, director of the Global Aging Initiative. Jackson says businesses can prepare for the changes by focusing products and services on older customers.
