Chewing gum doesn't affect weight loss, study finds

Data on 201 overweight or obese participants revealed no significant difference in weight or body mass index between those who chewed sugar-free gum for 90 minutes daily and those in the control group. However, participants in the gum group said chewing helped reduce snack cravings and post-meal and late-night eating, according to the study in Obesity.
