NPD: Xbox 360 sales were up in October, boosted by Kinect

The NPD Group reports that sales of Microsoft's Xbox 360 game console through U.S. retailers were up more than 20% in October compared with a year earlier. The Kinect motion-control interface for the Xbox 360, introduced a year ago, is credited for the surge in sales of the mature game console. Microsoft noted that six of the top 10 best-selling video games run on the Xbox 360.
