Why your business needs to know its purpose

Organizations must discover their own purpose before they can make sure their employees have a sense of their mission, John Baldoni writes. "Organizations need employees who are engaged; that is, they come to work with a sense of purpose that comes from knowing that what they do matters to others," he writes. Purposeful organizations are also able to come up with innovative ideas and foster the development of new leaders.
