Corporate America's role in training tomorrow's workforce

Half of U.S. companies say they're struggling to find candidates capable of filling vacancies, with 3 million jobs available because of a lack of skilled workers. Rather than complaining about a dearth of candidates, companies should step up and invest in training programs, Nina Easton writes. "It's time for corporate leaders to act, or confirm their critics' worst fears: that they really have given up on America," she writes.
