Literacy lessons are showing up in social studies, tech classes

One of the fundamental aspects of the Common Core State Standards is that reading skills should be developed across all subject areas, including social studies, science and technology. For example, science students at Lewis County High School in Vanceburg, Ky., were recently asked to analyze a 1946 scientific essay by Albert Einstein.
