Surgical team successfully separates conjoined twins

A team at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, including plastic and reconstructive surgeons, separated 8-month-old girls connected at the lower chest and abdomen. Allison June and Amelia Lee Tucker of New York were in the NICU after surgery and both were expected "to live full, healthy and independent lives," according to the leader of their surgical team.
