Antitrust lesson: Offer best deal right away, experts say

Experts say the US Airways-American Airlines merger could offer lessons for other companies negotiating with regulators. "If you're going to make a deal, you can save yourself a lot of time by giving your best offer early," said Mark Ostrau, antitrust attorney. "We couldn't be happier with the settlement," US Airways CEO Doug Parker said.
