Body suit would sense when users are fed up with wearable electronics

Stretchable sensors incorporated into a body suit may help future wearable electronics to sense a user's emotions -- including frustration with the electronics themselves -- and respond appropriately. New Zealand scientist Ben O’Brien is developing the technology with his startup StretchSense. "Huge investment is going into clothing and accessories that have technology embedded in them, such as the Google Glass wearable computer, but if those portable products are not able to pick up non-verbal messages and be sensitive to people’s emotions it could be disastrous," O’Brien said.
