Calif., Fla. courts allow release of teachers' data to newspapers

Courts in California and Florida have ruled that newspapers should be granted access to individual teachers' value-added data -- signaling what could become a trend. While school systems have tried to prevent the data from being released, the courts have ruled that the release of the data is in the public interest.
