Cordray pledges transparency in auto lending oversight

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau wants to engage "key stakeholders" in auto lending and have more transparency in the agency's oversight of the industry, Director Richard Cordray told a Senate panel Tuesday. He defended the agency's methodology for determining disparate impact, and its collection of data about credit card accounts.
