Dog alerts others to stranded, seriously injured owner

An dog named Juneau alerted nearby skiers to the plight of her owner, Leonard Somers, who had fallen into a ravine while skiing and broken his back. Juneau lay on top of Somers to keep him warm, leaving briefly to attract the attention of Jenny Beltman and to lead her to Somers. "She knew I needed help," Somers said of his dog.
