Hawaiian Telcom revenue rises on video, broadband gains

Hawaiian Telcom reported a 1.1% increase in revenue for the third quarter compared with a year ago as the operator added 2,100 subscribers for its television service, bringing the total to 15,800. Average revenue per subscriber rose 12% from the previous quarter. Net income declined 63%, largely because of one-time costs related to the telecom's acquisition of Wavecom Solutions, a local carrier.
