Israeli firm develops quantum dots with peptides

StoreDot of Ramat Gan, Israel, is using peptides to make self-assembling biological semiconductors that could fit in a variety of applications. "If everything works, and we have a lot of evidence that it will do, we have a revolution in many devices -- memory, batteries, the display, image sensors," StoreDot CEO Doron Myersdorf said of the quantum dots the company has developed.
