MAPI's Waldman: Look at net flows before deciding reshoring is having an impact

Companies such as Wal-Mart and Apple are "reshoring" certain manufacturing operations. But that doesn't necessarily mean there is a net positive flow of jobs coming back to the U.S., according to Cliff Waldman, senior economist at MAPI. "Yes, yes, more companies are having the U.S. play a little bit bigger role in their businesses but we don't know at the same time if there are more companies leaving, and in a global economy you worry about net flows."
