NBCU is now sole owner of Sprout children's net

The NBCUniversal Cable Group is now the full owner of PBS Kids Sprout, after it assumed the shares controlled by PBS and HIT Television Ventures. NBCU, which has managed the network for the past two years, bought out another partner, Sesame Workshop, in December. The network will now be called Sprout but will retain its licenses to programming such as "Sesame Street," "Caillou" and "Barney."
