Pai: Former FCC member Robert Wells "an inspiration to all Kansans"

Robert Wells, the first broadcaster to serve on the Federal Communications Commission, was remembered by FCC member Ajit Pai as "an inspiration to all Kansans, and indeed, all Americans" for his ability to move "from a small town in the Great Plains ... to make an impact on the national stage." Wells, a former general manager of Harris Radio Group and president of the Associated Press Broadcasters, died last week at age 94.
