Proposals aim to make it easier to practice nursing in N.M.

New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez wants to make it easier for out-of-state nurses to get licenses to practice in New Mexico, just a week after outlining a plan to offer financial aid to nurses who want to continue their professional development. The New Mexico Nursing Education Consortium said nursing schools in the state have agreed to create a common curriculum to make it easier for students to transfer academic credits.
