Study: Healthy school environment can create positive change

As the U.S. Department of Agriculture prepares to implement new guidelines aimed at improving the nutritional value of school snacks, a recent study finds that such initiatives have the potential to improve students' health. Researchers at Michigan State University found that students are more likely to eat healthy food when their schools have nutrition policies and practices that support a healthy lifestyle.
