Wal-Mart report causes some to reduce holiday optimism

Wal-Mart reported its quarterly profits rose to $2 billion, or 46 cents per share, which missed analyst expectations by one penny per share. The company's miss has caused some retail analysts to lower holiday shopping forecasts; Wal-Mart's chief executive expects the season to be improved over last year "but not significantly."
